Report To:  OSI APMEA Zone Manager

General Purpose & Objectives:
To provide leadership, direction, and support to OSI APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa) key customers and manufacturing facilities in new product development. 

Major Tasks & Activities

1. Provide overall leadership in strategy and management of new product development      process, from concept to market, across the APMEA region.
2. Represent our client in developing new products for key customer accounts at the APMEA Zone level.
3. Identify, project, manage and develop new products ensuring that the products meet client brief and achieve customer satisfaction.
4. Provide support for APMEA country and plant level R&D managers in new product development, problem solving, and innovation.
5. Create and lead an “R&D team” made up of individual business units R&D managers, to foster improved communication, share best practices, and drive NPD innovation throughout the APMEA region.
6. To liaise with the Quality Assurance department on issues regarding product safety, quality and legality.
7. Will require 15-30% travel within the region.

Quality Requirements

Education & Working Experience
 A third level, preferably masters degree in food science or related discipline. 
 At least 5-10 years of experience in Product Development within the food industry.
Special Knowledge
 Conceptualize and Develop new protein products, in particular chicken, beef, and formulated products.
 Ability to successfully manage several initiatives and/or projects simultaneously
 Self motivation and attention to detail is required
 Ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment is required
Competency
 Effective verbal and written communication, presentation and consultative skills.
 Excellent communication and organizational skills 
 Ability to use Microsoft Excel, word, and power point in order to write reports and presentations
 Fluent in verbal and written English.
