Job Description: We are looking for a talented individual with excellent English language skills to manage a small group of software development engineers on the VisualDSP++ Integrated Development Environment (IDE) team working with the Eclipse based VisualDSP++ IDE and related embedded development tools technology for Analog Devices Blackfin, SHARC and ARM based processors. As part of the IDE team, the ideal candidate will have responsibilities across many different parts of the VisualDSP++ chain including interfacing with the build engine, debugger and code generation technology as well as with ADI hardware emulation software simulators and will be someone that enjoys participating in all stages of product development phases including project management/planning, requirements gathering, design, implementation, test and support. The team lead will work with management in Nashua, New Hampshire, USA and with development engineers in Nashua New Hampshire USA, Norwood Massachusetts USA and Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. The team lead will have regular conference calls with management in Nashua, manage the daily activities of the members of the team, and provide guidance on technical issues to the team members.
Requirement:
- B S or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development with a strong emphasis n UI design and implementation
- At least 2 years experience supervising other engineers
- Ability to work independently with multiple teams to meet complex objectives
- Very strong communications skills in the English language
- Strong Java programming skills (J2SE v6 or greater) developing for desktop applications
- Strong object oriented design skills
- Strong SWT and UI design skills
- Prior experience developing Java applications in the Eclipse environment
- Prior experience developing Eclipse plugins
- Prior experience with Java process related tools such as SVN, ANT, Hudson, JIRA, etc...
- A strong working knowledge of C and C++
