Duties And Responsibilities

1.      Accountable for China food service volume, growth, and profitability

2.      Personally work with Executive Chefs, Food & Beverage Managers, Operations Managers, and kitchen staffs to convince them of the benefits of converting from shell eggs to egg products and to assist them in using products properly

3.      Personally maintain and support key accounts

4.      Select, develop, support, and manage third party distributors as appropriate, including their business development plans, marketing budgets, customer satisfaction, and associated activities

5.      Recruit, select, hire, train, and manage additional MFI Food Service sales representatives as appropriate

6.      Identify strategies to penetrate and develop individual and multi-unit accounts; accelerate central sourcing and delivery where cost-effective

7.      Manage bids and negotiate pricing and terms, coordinating as appropriate with headquarters

8.      Coordinate with Customer Service and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to customers of samples, products, documentation, etc.

9.      Adopt, adapt, create as necessary marketing materials

10.  Select, organize, and represent MKF at trade shows; identify and lead other educational initiatives to accelerate conversion from shell eggs

11.  Develop annual budgets, business plans, and customer plans; provide monthly sales forecasts; submit other reports as required

12.  Identify product and market opportunities and communicate customer feedback effectively to the Commercial Director, Customer Service, and R&D

13.  Provide effective internal communication to all functional areas

14.  Other tasks assigned by Commercial Director

Skills And Abilities

1.      We seek an experienced sales person with a track record of initiative and successful development of customers, business relationships, and business results.  The ideal candidate will have both the desire to sell and manage accounts personally as well as the experience and capability to assume broader management responsibilities as the business grows.  

2.      Bachelor’s degree, at least three years of experience selling value-added food products, and proficient English are required.

3.      Food Science training and experience, and relationships in the food service or hospitality industries, are ideal.

4.      Sales management experience is a plus.

5.      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Network applications

6.      Excellent communication and problem solving/decision making skills

7.      Highly motivated individual able to work independently in a fast-paced and collegial environment

8.      Ability to prioritize, anticipate situations, and take action

9.      Willing to travel
