1.  Job Summary:

Responsible for initiating, evaluating and implementing solutions to SMT Product / Process problems, product design changes and program upgrade.

Coordinates introduction of new and redesigned products mainly in SMT area; coordinates special projects and performs feasibility studies to improve quality, performance and cost effectiveness of products.

Assists in the transfer of Silicon Microphone processes to subcontract manufacturers from R&D center. 

Occasional overseas travel is required.

2.  Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyzes Silicon Microphone problems, product rejects and coordinates the implementation of the solutions to production problems; publishing engineering and reject analysis reports, mainly working in SMT Area.

Maintains prints, engineering specifications, Bill of materials, routings, operational standards in SMT area.

Initiates, evaluates and documents trials on products.

Initiates and implements cost reduction ideas, product changes and redesigned products; issues appropriate specifications and coordinates special feasibility projects.

Assists Marketing and Quality Assurance in solving customer complaints regarding product problems.

Assists in the design, prototyping, and qualification of new test and production systems.

Assists in transferring of Silicon Microphone processes to our subcontract manufacturers.

Trains subcontract manufactures on new products, production methods, and equipment. Also provides guidance and training to new & inexperienced engineers.

Occasional travel is required to our subcontract manufacturers both locally and overseas.

3.   Job Specifications

Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Material, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent.

Seven years minimum experience in Production or Manufacturing Engineering in SMT area.

Requires a self-motivated individual that has the ability to manage complex projects and processes. 

The candidate should demonstrate the ability to establish processes and process controls using statistical methods.

Personal computer skills are required, and knowledge of associated applications such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases and project planning software is necessary.

Proficient/Fluent in English, Mandarin languages required (CET6).
